Talking tango with an ambassador

Today was absentee-voting day at the US Embassy, and over 500 US citizens came to cast their ballots in the November 6 election.

While we were talking on the plaza stairs, Ambassador Vilma Martinez walked by.  My friend Joe extended his hand to greet the ambassador.  It was a perfect day for this event, but the only thing missing for us was tango.  After all, we are in Buenos Aires.  The ambassador mentioned that her son is coming in November to Buenos Aires and is interested in learning to dance.  I suggested they include tango music next time–Joe and I would love to dance.  A press photographer was nearby, and we asked the ambassador if we could have a photo taken with her.
